JOHN LERRATO'S
"GRAND TEST THEORY"
Hey everyone! This might come out as a very big joke at first. But believe I stumbled upon a very great idea to end human suffering once and for all. But for along time I did not know how to tell you. So I wrote the book “The End and hid behind it” Then I remembered the biblical story of Jonah and the bad luck that fell upon him!
Otherwise how does one tell his fellow human beings that he thinks he has hacked how to end this harsh world and start a new; one full of peace and happiness. Well, I’ve decided to reveal it on this site. So for those who can’t wait for the grand idea and are used to executive summaries please click here. But for those who want the meat on bone please read on.
We currently have very many religions; each believing in some unique doctrine. Evolutionists, on the other hand, seem to be breaking more ground with each new prehistoric man they dig up. Atheists too have their beliefs and one cannot rubbish them. So who is right and who is wrong? Who has the truth; the correct prophecy on the world end? Who has the correct prediction on the Armageddon, man’s destiny; or end times if you so wish?
Confusing right! Doesn’t it sound like a good cause to hold some long drawn out “world end” convention or prediction summit? Doesn’t it also sound like a good reason for International cooperation? Haven’t’ many wars been drawn out or are currently being fought due to religion and belief systems?
So do I have an answer, or correct revelation, if you prefer to call it that? Well, this is similar to a question I was once asked by my late high school teacher—who unfortunately recently got shot dead in the US by kids he was trying to mentor. On that sunny day, a friend of mine whistled at his fiancée; a fellow teacher, while she walked along a corridor. Seconds later, he stormed into our class room demanding to know who had whistled. Due to friendships—and maybe fear—no one was willing to pinpoint the whistler point blank. In this case, there was clearly no revelation. The standard answer was, "I was reading but I heard it from around there"; which was in the general area where I was seated. So eight of us in that area were taken out and made to duck-walk for 100 meters before sprinting back with the answer. All I can say is allegiance is painful! We did the run like eight times but still withheld the truth. So here I am. Do I have the answer—the big revelation— to this long drawn out argument?
Well, in honour of my late English teacher, my answer is a resounding yes; this time around. We do have a revelation. And how I came by it revolves around the famous quotes “Give me a place to stand and I’ll move the earth,” by the mathematician Archimedes. I translated it to “getting out of my beliefs and looking at life from a new perspective.” This, inadvertently, has spurred a new creation tale and the most interesting bit about it is that it solves the creation impasse rather than escalate it.
I developed my theory from one main premise that there exists a Supreme Being and that he is all powerful. But before any non-believer throws me out, please hear me out. That straight forward statement does say a lot. One, it means that the Supreme Being, if he really exists, can be anything. He can be a he, she or it at the same time. He can be one being or even forty million if he so wishes. He can be the being behind all the beliefs currently making us clench fists. Meaning, he can also be the key being behind all the hominids and prehistoric men that evolutionists are finding now and so often. Lastly, he certainly cannot exist too; however weird that sounds. Why not? He’s that powerful, isn’t he? And so thereby hangs my tale. It combines all creation and evolution theories into one in that all are descriptions of the same thing.
Evolution, Atheism, Christianity, Buddhism, Big Bang theory, you name it! They could all be right and merely describing the elephant like the men in Aesop’s “Blind men and Elephant fable.” Maybe that story was told centuries ago so that, today, I would relate it to the world creation stories. That’s the logic I am riding on and hope to bring to your understanding. A Supreme Being can easily be the leading influence in all world creation stories.
