An Addition to the Creation Tales.
I have this interesting hypothetical story to be included in the annals of religious creation tales. But I first apologize for including a Supreme Being in this particular story because we do have religious and belief system diversity. I’m targeting the human populace, regardless of beliefs and affiliations. And hence the need to take the middle ground; wherever I can.
This religious creation tale goes that our creator and his minders—in whatever form they might be in—liked to discuss and challenge each other a lot. One day, the topic of creating a being with a “free will” cropped up. Our creator’s minders were forwarding their own "free will" argument that if the creator made a creature with its own free will, chances were high that it would not recognize its creator, or even desire to honor him.
Our creator was a little puzzled with this wild claim. Yes, he could tell the future and even control everything he wanted. But creating a being with a “free will” opened up a new angle to his ability. Creating such a creature meant it could do anything it liked and believed in, and not have to suck up to some invisible superior force. But this creature would, however, have a conscience to know that there is a chance it was created.
This meant the creator could not directly influence this creature’s life. Well, the story goes that man was the creature and he was brought down to earth and made the superior creature; with his own free will and conscience. Now I know this adds to the free will argument or arguments but whether it makes me a free will philosopher, I don’t know! What I know is that I have made a contribution to the African creation myths or rather the creation myths from around the world.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, is there a chance that we are really being tested by a being far much greater than us? If yes, is it also possible, that our creator is simply waiting to see if man will do the honors and seek him out and give him—in whatever form he is in—the free will back. Will we be willing to do this in exchange for a life of heavenly will or bliss that we so much desire?
This new world creation tale implies man might have been put in a lab that is this earth and that the test is still on-going. This is slightly contrary to any of the numerous creation tales and theories that we know. But what quizzed me most is what man could do to turn the ball back to his creator’s court. That lead to The Grand Test. If this story is indeed the case with regards to actual human life, then it means a new world creation tale has just been added to the stories of creation! And if no Supreme Being exists, then I know we need to sort out the mess that is religious diversity once and for all.
This is what inspired my book. If our life is supposed to lead us to some code, the book construes decoding it!
